Staff Announcement

It is with great joy that Kingsway-Lambton United Church welcomes Rev. Jaylynn Byassee to the role of Coordinating Minister beginning September 11, 2023. (The expected confirmation by Shining Waters Regional Council as long-term supply minister is pending). 

Jaylynn is an accomplished minister most recently covering a sabbatical at Trinity St-Paul’s United Church, Toronto. Prior, Jaylynn was the lead minister at North Lonsdale United Church, North Vancouver. 

Jaylynn received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Texas Tech, and a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School, North Carolina in 2001. Jaylynn is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church (2011) and was admitted as an Ordained Elder of the United Church of Canada in 2021. 

Jaylynn has traveled extensively working as a minister and has provided leadership, preaching, pastoral care & support to many Christian churches. She also has credentials in the Foundations of Christian Leadership. 

A new Canadian, we welcome her broad experience and her contemporary delivery of God’s Word. She is eager to bring her considerable skills and knowledge to the many facets of our church including our preparation to call a permanent minister. We look forward to the spiritual guidance that Jaylynn will bring, and the opportunities to know her more fully.
