Stanley Thomas Locke

Stan and his wife Linda came to Kingsway-Lambton in March 2004. Their call was to begin an Alpha Group at KL, which they chaired for 9 years. Stan was passionate about this program having lead it in his previous church and witnessed its great success. The program continued for over 16 years and guided many into a relationship with Jesus.

Stan’s gifts were manyfold. His gift of discipleship created in him a passion to lead others. He joind the Session in September 2005 and was Chair of Adult Christian Education for many years.  Stan had an affinity for, and specialty in, governance and protocol - a gentle voice of experience and authority

Stan was an extraordinary welcomer. On Sunday mornings Stan would gently and graciously be one of the first smiling faces you would see upon arrival.

Stan always had a helping hand for others. On one occassion Stan ran to find new batteries for Rev Hugh’s microphone in the middle of a Sunday service.

We all witnessed Stan’s outstanding contribution and dedication to KL, including his love for our Lord and for his neighbour.

Visitation will be at Ward Funeral Home
2035 Weston Rd, Toronto, ON M9N 1X7
on Sunday March 9, 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00. 

Funeral will be at Capstone Community Bible Church
763 Royal York Rd, Etobicoke, ON M8Y 2T3
on Monday March 10 at 11:00am, reception to follow.

Son Tim Locke would love to see all of Stan's friends at the funeral.
